Mara Jasmine Pike has been teaching yoga for the past 10 years. She began the Jasmine Yoga school in 2003 and is one of the founding members of the North Shore Yoga Co-op.  You can find her teaching pregnancy, mom & baby, vinyasa, and Shadow yoga in Waialua at the Weinberg Center, the Pupukea Yoga House, offering privates and organizing performance opportunities in the community, and filling in at Purple Yoga in Honolulu. 

Mara moved to Hawaii in 2003 from Somerville, Massachusetts where she was manager and head teacher at O2 Yoga. She has been involved in movement studies, including gymnastics and ballet, for most of her life. She has a BFA in Dance from NYU, taught dance and performed with Ballet New England.

Her first four years of yoga studies – in Vinyasa and Ashtanga – were with Mimi Loureiro. She also completed a one-year Shadow Yoga teacher training with Glen Butcher, as well as training in Pregnancy and Mom & Baby yoga with Cathy Louise Broda.
